The Iowa Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America at its December meeting will offer a seminar titled Current Challenges and Changing Roles of the General Counsel.
The session will take place on Thursday, December 16 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Embassy Club, 40th Floor, 801 Grand, Des Moines. A social hour will follow the seminar.
The program centers on the evolving role of the general counsel, especially in public companies, and how to best manage the ever increasing and sometimes conflicting roles that general counsel may be required to play.
Speakers at the session will be Joseph Haggerty, AmerUs; Steve Morain, Iowa Farm Bureau; Karen Shaff, The Principal Financial Group, and Roger Scholten, Maytag.
