The New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) this month is offering a CLE seminar titled The Future of Class Actions in New Jersey - Alive & Well?!
The program will take place on Friday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel, Edison, NJ.
A panel of judges and attorneys will share their experiences, discuss recent case law and statutory developments, and address current issues in the evolving area of class action practice.
Panelists will explore the answers to questions such as:
- Should plaintiffs seek to certify a statewide only class or a nationwide class?
- Will the decision depend on whether you are in state or federal court, or whether the case will be removable to federal court?
- What are the differences in the rules in class action practice in the state and federal courts?
The program coordinators are Jeffrey J. Greenbaum, Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross P.C., and Allyn Z. Lite and Philip R. Sellinger, co-chairs, New Jersey State Bar Association Class Action Committee.
Among the other speakers are the Hon. Stanley R. Chesler, U.S. District Court Judge; the Hon. Marina Corodemus, former judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, and Gavin J. Rooney, Lowenstein Sandler PC.
