Seminar Will Review BasicsOf Intellectual Property Licensing

While many are familiar with intellectual property concepts of patents, copyrights and trademarks, fewer understand that the value of intellectual property comes from licensing. This issue will be the focus this month of a DC Bar Association CLE seminar titled Introduction to Licensing Intellectual Property.

The program will take place on Thursday, March 10 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

This course is designed to introduce participants to the basic concepts involved in licensing intellectual property.

The course will be taught by experienced faculty members who have more than 20 years of combined experience in license drafting and the negotiation of licenses. Speakers will be Joseph Contrera, Jacobson Holman PLLC, and Carol Lavrich, associate director, Office of Technology, Georgetown University.
