Seminar Focus: Employment Liability Issues

For human resources managers, in-house counsel, risk managers and small-business owners, employment law issues are among the most serious challenges. Because the frequency and severity of employment practice liability claims continue to rise, public and private companies of all sizes face catastrophic losses with shocking regularity.

AIG/National Union this month will address this issue at a seminar titled Employment Law School for Managers at two California locations.

Programs will take place on Tuesday, June 14 at the Omni Hotel, 500 California Street, San Francisco, and on Wednesday, June 15 at the Jonathan Club, 545 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles. Sessions run from 8:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., with registration starting at8 a.m.

Participants will learn about the trends, risk factors and the resources and tools available to help guide them in dealing with employment-related issues. Panelists will share their experiences and provide practical advice on steps companies can take to manage their risk in areas such as sexual harassment, employment class actions, and the recruitment, retaining and termination of employees.

Speakers for the programs are still to be announced.
