The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) on Tuesday, July 6 has scheduled a CLE seminar titled New York Internet Legal Research.
This course will review New York legal research with a focus on specific types of New York law-related information, discuss how free Internet sites now fit into the legal research process, compare the features and content of the free sites with the commercial services, and how to evaluate the quality of those sites, and indicate what is available that formerly could be obtained only through commercial services and materials that once were unavailable anywhere online.
The instructor for this evening session is William H. Manz, assistant law librarian and director of student publications at St. John's University School of Law and editor of the forthcoming New York Legal Research Guide, Third Edition.
The program will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.
