Northeast Chapter Of ACC-A PlansConference On International Issues

The Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America (ACC-NE) this month has scheduled an all-day conference under the title Expanding Your Reach: Increasing In-House Counsel's Effectiveness in a Global Practice.

The conference will take place on Wednesday, November 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the offices of McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, 28 State Street, Boston.

The program focuses on international issues. The agenda will include panel discussions on:

  • Law in the Global Village: The Globalization and Localization of Key Legal Concepts;
  • And Then There Were 25 - Impacts of the EU Enlargement on European Business;
  • International Law 101, or Dipping Your Toe in the Water;
  • Safeguarding the Crown Jewels Abroad - Counterfeits, Piracy and Other Challenges to Protecting Your Company's IP.

The keynote speaker will be Laura Stein, general counsel, Heinz. Other speakers are still to be announced.
