Michigan ACC-A Plans Seminars On Changes In Sentencing Guidelines

The Michigan Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America has scheduled a program titled Pending Amendments to Organizational Sentencing Guidelines at two locations this month.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday, October 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Penninsular Club, 120 Ottawa Avenue, Grand Rapids, MI, and on Wednesday, October 13 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Westin Southfield, 1500 Town Center Drive, Southfield, MI.

The sessions will focus on a discussion of the recently proposed amendments to the organizational sentencing guidelines, which will make more stringent the guidelines' criteria for effective compliance and ethics programs. They are expected to take effect November 1.

The speaker on October 12 will be Kirk Jordan, founder of Integrity Interactive, and a leading authority on corporate compliance.

The featured speaker on October 13 will be Win Swenson, a partner at Integrity Interactive who is considered one of the country's most recognized leaders in the field of compliance. He is known for his role in helping to develop the organizational sentencing guidelines.
