MCLE Plans Seminar On Bankruptcy Legislation

Massachusetts CLE this month is offering a CLE seminar titled The New Bankruptcy Legislation Explained.

The program will take place on Tuesday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MCLE Conference Center, 10 Winter Place, Boston.

The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 is the first major overhaul of the federal bankruptcy system in a generation. In many respects it represents a pendulum swing away from what Congress perceived as the liberal, debtor-oriented bankruptcy law in effect since 1978.

Experts will offer insight into what practice under the new Bankruptcy Act will be like. Whether you are a veteran or a novice practitioner, if you represent debtors, creditors or trustees, this program is rated a must.

Speakers for the session are still to be announced.
