LA Bar Explores Changing Employment Class Action Landscape, Recent Court Decisions

In a program scheduled on Monday, July 18, the Los Angeles County Bar Association will discuss the changing class action landscape and what every lawyer needs to know about Dukes v. Wal-Mart and AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion.

The program will run from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the meal/reception staring at 6:30 p.m., at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, 506 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles.

Class action employment litigators Nancy Abell, Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP, and Brad Seligman, The Impact Fund, will provide a discussion of employment class actions in light of the Supreme Court's decisions in Dukes v. Wal-Mart and AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion. They will cover the following issues: whether it is too early to say goodbye to wage-and-hour class actions in California; what discrimination class actions will look like after Dukes ; and whether class size matters.
