Jones Day Adds Javier Moya to Government Regulation Practice in Madrid

Jones Day announced that state lawyer Javier Moya has joined the Firm's Madrid Office as Of Counsel in its global Government Regulation Practice.

Mr. Moya has deep experience advising public and private companies in their interactions and relations with numerous governmental administrative entities. His work on behalf of clients includes dispute resolution through litigation and arbitration, in Spain and internationally, on matters related to construction projects, financing and operation of public infrastructures, enforcement procedures, administrative contracting (tenders and contractual claims), authorizations, and concessions. Mr. Moya’s work has involved key regulated industrial sectors including energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, transportation, and environmental.

Mr. Moya has served as State Attorney before the National Court in regulated sectors including The Competition Authority, National Securities Market Commission, Bank of Spain, The Audit Commission, Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring, and Court of Contract Appeals. He has been Legal Advisor to the Board of Directors of state company Adif and Adif High Speed Trains, and Deputy Secretary of the group companies, as well as Director of Legal and Deputy Secretary of Acuamed, a leading state water company in Spain.
