The Boston Bar Association (BBA) on Wednesday, May 12 will present a CLE seminar titled Internal Investigations and Mutual Funds.
This seminar will address two closely related sets of time issues: the conduct of internal corporate investigations and the investigative focus of the raft of federal and state investigations dominating the mutual find industry.
The program will offer insights into how lawyers for parties involved should approach an internal investigation and will attempt to answer questions such as: What's the best way to gather the facts? How do you protect the company's interest in complying with governmental regulations? How can you minimize disruption to the business? How do you keep your individual client out of harm's way.
Co-chairs for this afternoon seminar are Paul G. Levenson, of the Economic Crimes Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office, and John J. Falvey Jr., Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP.
The program will take place from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at the BBA Conference Center, 16 Beacon Street, Boston.
