With clients and courts increasingly turning to mediation as a method for resolving disputes, anyone involved in litigation needs to know how to effectively represent their clients when a case is sent to mediation. With this in mind, the DC Bar Association on Thursday, May 6 is offering a CLE seminar titled Getting the Most Out of Court Mediation.
The program will take place from 6 to 9:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.
This class will explore the mediation process through the mock mediation of a hypothetical Title VII case and a personal injury case. Panelists will evaluate each mock mediation case, discuss the mediation process and the approach they would take in the mediation and offer advice on effective and ineffective mediation techniques.
The speakers will be the Hon. John M. Facciola, magistrate judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Hon. Richard A. Levie, retired associate judge, Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
