Four Tracks Of Seminars SlatedAt MCCA Diversity Conference



The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has scheduled its 5th Annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference on Wednesday, November 3 in New York City.

The day's breakout sessions are divided into four tracks: Law Department Track, Law Firm Track, Professional Development Track and Marketing Diversity Track.

Some of the topics to be addressed during the day include: Best Practices for Grooming Minorities for Broader Roles; Effective Outreach and Retention Strategies; Breaking Barriers Through Regional Bar Association Participation; Gaining Visibility for Diverse Attorneys; Calculating Diversity Return on Investment; Managing Inclusively - Supporting the Invisible Bar; Overturning the Diversity Paradigm: A Look at In-Group and Out-Group Dynamics, and Raising the Bar: Co-Creating a Diverse and Inclusive Workplace.

Among the speakers at the session are Barbara Berger Opotowski, executive director of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; Trey Muldrow, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Sandy Schroeder, director of marketing, Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P., and Mora Zeiberg, firmwide director of marketing, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

The sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m.
