ccoha28.t1 Employment Law for General Practitioners is the title of a CLE seminar scheduled this month by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE).
The program will take place on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ.
A significant number of the new cases filed today involve the employer-employee relationship. This seminar is designed to prepare attorneys for involvement in employment law cases, including not only an overview of the substantive law, but also a guide to the procedural aspects and a discussion of how to evaluate the case.
Attendees can expect to gain a basic understanding of employment law practice and procedure, including:
Basic employment law, including employment at will, age discrimination, race discrimination, sex discrimination, workplace harassment, and handicap discrimination;
Procedure, including discovery, where to file (state or federal court), and exhaustion of administrative remedies;
Sources for helping attorneys evaluate a case.
