Corporate Secretaries OrganizationReadies 59th National Conference

The Association of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals this month has scheduled its 59th National Conference, an event featuring panels focusing on timely topics of interest and significant opportunities for peer networking.

The conference will take place from Wednesday, June 22 to Sunday, June 26 at the Century Plaza Hotel and Spa in Los Angeles.

The theme of the conference, New Beginnings - New Opportunities, is reflected in sessions such as:

  • The Corporate Governance Professional;
  • Trends & Issues in Executive Compensation;
  • Trends & Issues in Directors Compensation, Recruiting & Liability;
  • Disclosures & Reporting Challenges - What Have We Learned?;
  • The Evolving Proxy Process.

In a first for the Society, a full, single-day version of its Essentials Course will be held on Tuesday, June at the Conference location. This is designed to help new corporate secretaries ground themselves in the basics of their jobs - or for experienced secretaries to brush up on fundamental skills.

As usual, the Society will be holding a pre-conference workshop on ethics on Wednesday, immediately preceding the conference.
