Amy Pandit and Tarek Abdalla Join Jones Day's Pittsburgh Office as New Partners

Jones Day announces that Amy Pandit and Tarek Abdalla have joined the firm's Pittsburgh office as partners in its banking, finance & securities, and business & tort litigation practices, respectively.Ms. Pandit has more than 20 years' experience advising and representing publicly traded companies in matters relating to corporate governance, federal securities law, and executive compensation.

"Amy has a proven record of representing public company clients in their most important capital markets matters and providing the highest level of corporate governance advice," said Brett Barragate, who leads Jones Day's banking, finance & securities practice. "She will bring her knowledge and skill to an already robust practice, and will be of great assistance to clients that are navigating the current volatile market environment."

Ms. Pandit's broad experience includes advising clients on federal securities laws matters, including the Sarbanes–Oxley and Dodd–Frank Acts, energy sector compliance, environmental and corporate governance compliance, and incentive program matters.

Ms. Pandit holds bar admissions in Pennsylvania and New York. Her professional accomplishments have been acknowledged by The Legal 500 (2016) and "Who's Who in Energy," Pittsburgh Business Times (2013–2016). She was also the recipient of the "Most Power & Influential Women Award," from the Pittsburgh Diversity and Leadership Conference (2016), and was named a "Client Service All-Star" (2017) by BTI Consulting.

Mr. Abdalla is a trial lawyer who has represented clients in a wide range of construction and energy projects across the world. His experience includes matters relating to municipal energy infrastructure, industrial projects, steel mills, water treatment plants, commercial developments, power manufacturing plants, and more in the Middle East, Europe the United Kingdom, and the United States.

He was also recognized in The Legal 500 (2017). Mr. Abdalla holds bar admissions in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
