Nixon Peabody Attorney RecognizedFor Efforts On RI Lead Paint Policies

Nixon Peabody has announced that attorney Linn F. Freedman has received a prestigious Founder's Award from the Rhode Island Department of Health in recognition of her pioneering efforts to create a healthy environment in the state of Rhode Island.

At Nixon Peabody, Ms. Freedman focuses on health care law and litigation issues, advising healthcare providers, including hospital systems, hospitals, physicians and nurses, on issues involving discipline, patient-related legal issues, regulatory compliance, administrative hearings and litigation.

Prior to joining Nixon Peabody three years ago, Ms. Freedman was former Rhode Island assistant attorney general and deputy chief of the Civil Division for the Department of the Attorney General in Rhode Island. In these roles, she was lead prosecutor and litigator on the first case filed by a state against the lead pigment industry in the country.
