Constance B. Foster NamedChair Of Saul Ewing Business Department

Constance B. Foster, Harrisburg Office managing partner of Saul Ewing LLP, was recently named chair of the firm's Business Department.

Ms. Foster previously served as vice chair of the Business Department and is co-chair of the Insurance Industry Service Team. In her legal practice, Ms. Foster concentrates on insurance, health and business law. She served as State Insurance Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 1987 to 1992. Her practice includes providing corporate and regulatory advice on new insurance companies, financially troubled insurers, and regulatory issues, as well as coverage disputes and matters involving insurers in liquidation or rehabilitation.

Designated a 2005 "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer," named to the 2005 list of "The Best Lawyers in America," and named one of Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business, Ms. Foster is a member of the board of directors of the United Way of the Capital Region.

Suzanne S. Mayes, a partner in the Public Finance Department of Saul Ewing LLP in the Philadelphia office, was recently granted membership to an exclusive organization of women business leaders in the Philadelphia region, The Forum of Executive Women.Founded in 1977, The Forum of Executive Women is a membership organization of 300 women of influence in Greater Philadelphia.

Ms. Mayes concentrates her practice in municipal finance and project finance law, including economic development, single, multi-family and senior housing, transportation, government, and education.

William W. Uchimoto, a partner in the Business Department of Saul Ewing and an adjunct faculty member of the Washington, DC-based International Law Institute (ILI), presented a one-day seminar to more than 15 foreign financial professionals on capital market topics.
