Deputy Director Of FTC BureauTo Join Willkie Farr

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has announced that effective January 1, Bernard A. Nigro, Jr., the Federal Trade Commission's Deputy Director of the Bureau of Competition, will be joining the firm's Washington office.

Mr. Nigro will specialize in complex civil and criminal antitrust matters. Serving as Deputy Director since July 2003, Mr. Nigro supervised the Bureau's merger and non-merger enforcement divisions. In addition to leading the Commission in numerous high-profile actions, he is credited with having played a key role in the development of the agency's policies with respect to merger and non-merger matters, compliance, and pre-merger notification.

Christopher Greer on November 1 joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as a partner in the Corporate and Financial Services Department in the New York office, where he will focus on high-yield bond offerings and other capital market transactions.

Mr. Greer, who was previously a partner with O'Melveny & Myers, has extensive experience representing investment banking clients and corporate issuers in public and private offerings of debt and equity securities.

Mr. Greer also specializes in corporate governance and SEC compliance, and has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other general corporate transactions.
