John Mussman Joins Banking Group At Holland & Knight LLP

Holland & Knight has announced that John Mussman has joined the Banking & Finance Group, as a partner in the firm's Chicago office.

"We're pleased to welcome John to the group, his strength in banking, corporate and regulatory law will be a great addition to our burgeoning financial services practice nationwide and in Chicago," said Al Avila, Banking & Finance Practice group leader.

Mr. Mussman concentrates his practice in banking, consumer credit and general corporate law. He represents banks, mortgage banks and other financial institutions in a wide range of corporate transactions, including stock and asset purchases and acquisitions, consumer credit-related matters as well as other state and federal regulatory and licensing issues.

Holland & Knight has announced that Ken Kozik has joined its Intellectual Property (IP) Law Practice Group, as a Senior Counsel in the firm's Boston office.

A registered patent attorney, Kozik focuses his practice on general intellectual property management, supervision of domestic and foreign patent application programs, complex prosecution, appeal, validity and non-infringement opinions. His technology expertise includes computer architecture, networks, computer software, business methods, financial methods and nanotechnology.

Holland & Knight recently furthered the West Coast expansion of its national environment and land use practice with the arrival of a group of lawyers in its San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. The group is headed by partners Jennifer Hernandez and Elizabeth (Betsy) Lake and includes David Friedman, of counsel, and six associates.

Ranked among California's top 10 environmental lawyers by Chambers USA - America's Leading Business Lawyers, Ms. Hernandez has achieved national prominence in work on brownfields redevelopment, wetlands and endangered species and complex development projects.

Holland & Knight also announced that land use attorney Catherine Blue would join the firm's Washington office as senior counsel. Ms. Blue joins the firm from AT&T Wireless where her position was Vice President & Associate General Counsel, Land Use and Commercial Transactions.
