Private Equity Lawyer Joins Nixon Peabody

Todd J. Peterson has joined the national law firm Nixon Peabody LLP as a partner on the Private Equity Team of the Business Practice Group. He will be located in the New York office.

Mr. Peterson was recently recognized as one of the World's Leading Private Equity Lawyersin the April 2005 issue of Euromoney Magazine . Previously, he was a partner with Salans where he represented clients in a wide range of international private equity matters, as well as real estate financings.

Nixon Peabody has continued to bolster its West Coast Public Finance Group by adding Daniel A. Deshon, a leading attorney in the field for twenty years, as a partner in the firm's San Francisco Office.

Nixon Peabody recently announced the addition of Richard Jones and Travis Gibbs who are based in the firm's new Los Angeles office. These new partners, along with Mr. Deshon, give Nixon Peabody significant public finance capabilities on the West Coast.

Mr. Deshonhas worked on an extensive number of financings for public utility districts in the Pacific Northwest and a wide variety of financings for cities, counties, school districts and entities in California.

Dana K. Campbell, Eric R. Paley and Jocelyn E. Torres have joined the Rochester office of Nixon Peabody LLP.

Mr. Paley joins the firm as counsel in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. He will focus his practice on employee benefits, retirement plans, welfare plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans.

Ms. Campbell joins as an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group of Nixon Peabody. Ms. Torres joins as an associate in Nixon Peabody's Labor and Employment Practice Group.

Nixon Peabody has expanded its Technology and Intellectual Property Group with the addition of Donald L. Bartels as a partner in the firm's San Francisco office. Also joining the firm is associate James W. Drapinski.

Mr. Bartels has 30 years of experience practicing intellectual property law, with a particular focus on patent and trademark prosecution, licensing and litigation.

Mr. Drapinski focuses his practice on intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on patent prosecution.
