Goodwin Names Human Resources Officer

Goodwin Procter LLP has announced that Allison V. Friend will join the firm in the newly created position of chief human resources officer.

In this role, Ms. Friend will work closely with firm management to create a best-in-class organizational support structure, leveraging the skills of the firm's administrative directors and bringing new resources to firmwide initiatives. She also will be responsible for developing and implementing a firmwide human resources strategy for lawyers, paralegals and support staff.

Ms. Friend joins the firm from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company where she was corporate counsel for its employment law group, as well as the manager of human resources for the National Group Market business unit.


Goodwin Procter also has announced that Lizette Pérez-Deisboeck has joined the firm's Boston office as a partner in the Technology & Emerging Companies Practice. She has particular expertise working with young businesses and early-stage investors.
