On Thursday, October 20, more than 800 public interest supporters from around the country joined Equal Justice Works to celebrate 25 years of working toward equal justice for all. Highlights of the evening included remarks by special guest Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, as well as the evening's featured speaker, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. David Gregory, moderator of MSNBC’s Meet the Press, served as emcee for the event, which raised more than $2.7 million to further Equal Justice Works’ mission to mobilize the next generation of public interest lawyers. The gathering was held at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.
