Kevin R. Casey Named Best Lawyers ® 2010 "Philadelphia IP Lawyer of the Year"

Stradley Ronon partner Kevin R. Casey was named Best Lawyers' 2010 Philadelphia Area Intellectual Property "Lawyer of the Year."As chair of the firm's IP Practice Group and co-chair of its IP Litigation and ADR Practice Groups, Kevin has counseled clients for more than 20 years in all aspects of the IP field, encompassing patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and related matters, including resolution of IP disputes.

Stradley Ronon attorney Kim Jessum was appointed co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's (PBA) Green Ribbon Task Force - a new group formed to reduce areas of waste for the PBA and to suggest and encourage changes in business practices for the legal profession.

As of counsel in Stradley Ronon's intellectual property practice group, Ms. Jessum focuses her practice on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters. She represents chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in both intellectual property litigation and transactional matters.

Stradley Ronon partner Joseph J. McHale will serve as a faculty member at the 31st Annual Symposium on Advances in Pharmacy Practice, sponsored by the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. The symposium will discuss new developments in pharmacy and law. Mr. McHale is an adjunct assistant professor with the University of Sciences in Philadelphia.

Stradley Ronon partner Steven A. Scolari was reelected to the board of directors of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce and appointed to the Board's executive committee. He was also named secretary of the Chamber. He is also a member of the Chamber's Board Development Committee and of the Main Line Chamber Foundation's Board of Directors.

Stradley Ronon partner Christopher Connell served as a panelist on, "Financing for Small and Medium Size Businesses in Light of Recent Trends in Bank Regulation," at a joint meeting in Philadelphia of the Financial Executive and Legal Business sections of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group. Connell discussed issues facing the banking industry and the impact those issues have on small and medium sized businesses when applying for loans.

Stradley Ronon attorney Karl S. Myers was appointed to serve as a reviewer in the Investigative Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention for a three-year term ending in 2012. Mr. Myers previously served in this role from 2006 to 2008. He will serve on investigative teams that review judicial candidates and report their findings to the Commission.
