Dr. Anamah Tan, a noted international women's rights advocate, scored a significant success when a jury returned a verdict in her favor after a week-long trial in federal court in Manhattan. Dr. Tan was represented by lawyers from the Labor and Employment Law Department of Proskauer Rose LLP.

The case, Zeballos v. Tan, was brought by a woman who worked as Dr. Tan's assistant for 23 months and alleged the breach of an oral employment agreement and defamation.

Dr. Tan, a lawyer from Singapore, was the founder and five-term (10-year) president of the National Council of Women in Singapore and is currently the president of the International Council of Women (ICW) and one of only 23 members of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Dr. Tan has dedicated her life to the protection and advancement of women's rights throughout the world.
