Letter From The President Of The Indiana Chapter Of The Association of Corporate Counsel

2007-02-01 00:00

To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :

A fun-filled evening is planned for Indiana's in-house legal community on February 23, 2007 at The Mansion at Oak Hill in Carmel, IN. The evening features Joie Chitwood (President, Indianapolis Motor Speedway) and Bob Eubanks (of the "The Newlywed Game" fame).

The festivities include a "Not Really Newlywed Game" hosted by Bob Eubanks, in which Senior Partners from the chapter's host law firms are coupled with their high-profile General Counsel clients as "Not Really Newlyweds" and take center stage to compete against one another in front of their colleagues and peers.

Mr. Eubanks will be asking questions that reflect the realities of in-house practice and the relationships with outside counsel, but the event will be more FUN than competition. As for the game, the goal is to ask semi-probing questions that are relevant to both sides (billing practices, levels of expertise, etc.), and then have them briefly discuss their differences as they unravel throughout the game (educational opportunity for those in attendance). Instead of a traditional gala dinner, ACC Indiana is seeking to provide its members and sponsors with a lighthearted and unconventional twist to this otherwise formal program. The event also includes fun prizes, and the opportunity for one lucky member to walk away with a trip to Cancun.

Members from neighboring chapters are all invited to share in the festivities. The evening represents a great chance for all mid-west ACC members to network, enjoy a great dinner (as well as an open bar), and be thoroughly entertained. Spouses are welcome to attend.
