To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel:

I am delighted to announce the formation of the Research Triangle Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and am energized by the prospect of expanding the reach of the ACC to this dynamic and growing community of in-house attorneys. We represent corporate counsel in business, academia and industry in the Eastern and Piedmont regions of North Carolina. At the heart of the area is the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill "Triangle," a metropolitan community that enjoys a diverse industry base and a special spirit of cooperation and learning among its fine universities and world renowned scientific and technological institutions.

Our mission is to provide meaningful, relevant programs and opportunities that will help in-house counsel achieve professional and personal growth and satisfaction. To that end, our Programs Committee is planning an ambitious slate of substantive programs designed to offer practical tools to corporate counsel. We hope to push open the doors so all corporate counsel may develop a strong network of attorneys with whom they may exchange ideas, suggestions and best practices. The professional fellowship offered by ACC and its chapters can be most rewarding and help corporate counsel survive and thrive in an increasingly complex legal environment.

We are very fortunate to have leadership that is professional, enthusiastic and talented. Our Board brings a wealth of experience to the table and is committed to the success of the organization. Moreover, we enjoy a close working relationship with our colleagues in the Charlotte Chapter of ACC, and we look forward to partnering with them and leveraging our respective strengths.

Along with the members of ACC's Research Triangle Area Chapter, I encourage you to join our efforts and enhance your professional and leadership skills. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events. To find out more about our Chapter and its planned events, please visit our website at www.acca.com.
