McNees Attorney Sharon Paxton to Speak at Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals Event

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Sharon Paxton will speak at an event for the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals (PSTAP) on Tuesday, July 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hampton Winds Restaurant in Bethlehem.

Paxton, of McNees’ State and Local Tax, and Appellate and Post Trial practice groups, will present on Pennsylvania sales tax.

Paxton works in McNees’ Harrisburg office and has more than 25 years of experience representing clients on state and local tax matters. She assists clients in resolving disputes concerning sales and use tax, corporate net income tax, capital stock and franchise tax, fuel tax (IFTA), and business privilege tax liabilities. She also deals with some personal income tax matters for individuals. Paxton represents taxpayers in proceedings before the Board of Appeals, the Board of Finance and Revenue, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Additionally, she handles unclaimed property audit appeals and advises businesses concerning unclaimed property reporting obligations.
