It begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. at the New York City Bar Association, 42 West 44th Street in Manhattan.

Nancy Gertner, professor of Practice at Harvard Law School and former judge, U.S District Court of Massachusetts, will deliver the annual Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Distinguished Lecture on Women and the Law. Ms. Gertner is also the author of In Defense of Women: Memoirs of an Unrepentant Advocate, which documents her struggle to succeed personally and professionally as she fought her way through the “boys club” while working on benchmark cases. At the lecture, Justice Ginsberg will be presented with the Association Medal for her exceptional contributions to the honor and standing of the bar in this community.

Carey R. Dunne, president of the New York City Bar, will offer a welcome to the distinguished guests.
