A modern company must carefully navigate a complex web of public relationships. The panel will discuss the various legal issues that arise when a corporation interacts with the public, and how those considerations should be adjusted to fit the specific circumstance. The panel will focus on several common instances of direct and indirect communication, including public relations during litigation or other crises, investor disclosures during a potential merger or other major corporate event, media messaging during congressional and other regulatory review, and various interactions with international governing bodies.
