The program will examine if legal professionalism is on the line because of social media bringing new technology into the e-discovery realm. It will offer a review of the necessary skills and knowledge counsel needs in order to meet judicial expectations and ethical obligations to avoid the risk of sanctions. This program will consider the impact of evolving technology from the perspective of both the bench and the practitioner. From ambiguous rules to ethical considerations, the faculty will explore the challenges technology creates and help demystify the world of electronic data and social media, focusing on the e-discovery lifecycle of preservation, collection, review and production. Participants will gain practical insight into the procedures and tools that promote accuracy, reduce cost and provide defensibility.
