The class will help attendees reinvigorate board leadership through a combination of topical updates, interactive workshop sessions, committee focused breakouts and networking opportunities.

Topics that will be discussed include opportunities and challenges in corporate sustainability; building better boards; effective compensation strategies: incentives and optics; the board/shareowner relationship; what key questions boards should ask CIOs; brand equity – the board’s role; and crisis communications.

This course is the foundation course for the NACD Board Leadership Fellowship.  If you have questions about the fellowships, or if you'd like to become one of the 2012 NACD Board Leadership Fellows, please email
