On Wednesday, April 11, join Indiana Continuing Legal Education for a presentation titled the New Reality of Business: The lawyer’s Active Role in the Transformation of the Corporation. The seminar starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. at the ICLEF Conference Center, 230 East Ohio Street in Indianapolis.

This seminar will look at the role of the business lawyer in an era of rapid technical and cultural change in the business world. Professor Edward Adams of the University of Minnesota School of Law will explain that since 1981, more jobs and wealth have been generated in the developed world by emerging new companies than was generated by all the companies that constituted the Fortune 100 a century ago. He will offer suggestions to participants on how to serve clients’ new expectations and demands as the corporate culture changes and businesses are transformed. He will discuss basic modern business concepts that have changed the face of corporate America; financial techniques for evaluating business success and failure; and practical perspectives on trends and business developments that will alter American business and corporate legal practice.
