Seminar Will Review Oil, Gas Law

The University of Houston Law Foundation is planning a seminar titled Oil, Gas and Energy Law in two locations.

The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, May 1 and 2 at the Hilton University of Houston Hotel, 4800 Calhoun, Houston, and on Thursday and Friday, May 8 and 9 at the Cityplace Conference Center, 2711 North Haskell Avenue, Dallas. Sessions at each venue run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one and from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on day two.

This course is a concentrated review of oil, gas and energy law for the advanced practitioner. It will focus on important aspects of energy law today, including joint ventures and strategic alliances, joint operating agreements, natural gas contracts, wind energy, nuclear energy, LNG projects, ethics, Texas Railroad Commission issues, failure to deliver or receive the commodity, electricity transactions, ERCOT, FERC initiatives in deregulation of gas and power, biofuels and other renewable energy, and climate change legislation.
