The firm of Wiley Rein & Fielding this month is planning a CLE seminar titled ADR: What Every Employer Needs to Know.

The program will take place on Wednesday, May 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wiley Rein Conference & Media Center, 1776 K Street, NW, Washington, DC.

Among the program highlights are:

  • An overview of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's mediation programs and additional EEOC insight into ADR by EEOC Commissioner Leslie Silverman;
  • The human resources perspective on implementing an effective mediation program by Donna Gwinn, Safeway's director of human resources;
  • A discussion by an industry leader credited with developing one of the country's most effective mandatory arbitration programs, including court enforcement, rule development, and internal tracking systems, featuring Teri Miles, Circuit City's assistant general counsel, and Attison L. Barnes III, Wiley Rein.
  • A discussion about the bestpractices for developing an ADR program and a review of current jury verdict trends by Wiley Rein attorneys Todd A. Bromberg, M. Evan Corcoran, Rodney H. Glover and Brian Nuterangelo.
