Tuesday, January 8, 2019 - 12:17

The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the authority on boardroom practices representing more than 20,000 corporate board members, issued its annual call for nominations for the 2019 NACD Directorship 100. This call for nominations also includes the NACD Lifetime Achievement Award and the NACD Director of the Year award.

For the first time, honorees will be recognized in June of 2019, rather than November as in years past.

The selection process begins now with an open nomination for candidates. Honorees are finalized by an independent advisory committee and then ratified by the NACD board of directors. Visit to submit your nominations by Friday, February 1, 2019.

Now in its 13th year, the NACD Directorship 100 recognizes leading corporate directors and governance professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the boardroom through innovation, courage, and integrity. This year's honorees will be celebrated at a black-tie gala on June 26, 2019 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City and featured in NACD Directorship magazine.

2018 honorees included these outstanding directors:

  • NACD Lifetime Achievement Award winner Lawrence Cunningham, director of Constellation Software
  • NACD Directors of the Year R. John Fletcher, director of Axcelis Technologies, and M. Jeannine Strandjord, director of Euronet Worldwide and MGP Ingredients
